Ideal candidate is responsible for assisting in the monitoring of the overall outflow of capital for Peak Management.   Duties will include live audit and approval of all bills in Rent Manager; cut and mail checks for all the vendors; online payments to vendors & utilities; processing of security deposit refunds; and credit card reconciliation. Must have the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment as well as excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Work closely with colleagues on daily basis for all aspects of accounting/company financials
• Checking the accuracy of day-to-day transactions and recording the same in the general accounting software.
• Manage and perform all functions of progress billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, for install projects.
• All aspects of construction accounting - Waivers – Liens - Notices
• Understanding the current processes and look for ways to improve and create better, more efficient processes.

The Accounting Specialist will perform complex clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments and prepare accounting statements, financial reports, and company payroll.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial reports and various accounting statements
• Posts journal entries to general ledger
• Performs various bank and cash reconciliations
• Generates summary sheets to be used by supervisor or auditor
• Processes payroll and prepares necessary payroll reports
• Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy
• Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned
