The position of Automation Engineer II will be a part of ESCO Group’s Automation Team and will be responsible for being a leading senior resource for automation projects.    

OBJECTIVES YOU WILL MEET 

As the Automation Engineer II, you will be responsible for providing technical services alongside a highly technical team. Objectives include: 

• Program and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interface (HMI) systems to control and monitor industrial processes. 
• Design and implement industrial automation projects that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.

As an Aftertreatment Performance Analysis Engineer - Contingent for John Deere Power Systems located in Waterloo, IA, you will…

Develop and validate 1D chemical kinetic models for relevant aftertreatment components such as Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Ammonia Oxidation Catalyst (AOC), DOC catalyzed DPF (DOCF), etc.

Initiate, plan, coordinate and perform analysis projects using 1D aftertreatment models and other supporting models to investigate current and future emissions reduction techniques

Maintain an understanding of aftertreatment devices and emission reduction strategies for diesel and alternative fuel engines

Provide well thought out documentation on analysis process, results, and setup procedures, ensure consistent and high-quality models to support deployment
