Voter Registration Assistant

Under general supervision, employee provides varied support and services to customers of Elections and Voter Registration Department. Essential functions fall into three categories: customer service, department support, and election responsibilities. A sampling of those associated with customer service includes: delivers courteous, efficient service to contacts at office counter or by phone; furnishes instructions for completion of absentee ballots; accepts and reviews candidate petitions for complete information and attachments; and performs other duties associated with department. Support includes: maintains supplies; processes incoming and outgoing mail; files; completes and sends voter registration reports; and processes voter registration applications.
