We’re a San Francisco, CA-based company hiring for a ground-floor sales team member to help us continue our hyper-growth phase (10x growth in 2022). We’re backed by top VCs and angels like Lightbank, TenOneTen Ventures, the founders of Groupon, the inventors of Google AdSense, and Jason Calacanis, and we’re working to revolutionize the future of the nearly 20 trillion-dollar global brick and mortar retail market. About the Position

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to turn inbound retailer and restaurant leads, customer referrals, and outbound prospects into closed customers on SparkPlug
  • Call, text, and email customers to create relationships and inspire trust
  • Prospect, contact, and close outbound leads for key target accounts
  • Work tightly with Director and C-suite level team members to constantly improve our sales strategy and processes
  • Document prospective customer feedback to identify potential new software features, marketing strategies, and sales collateral
  • Proactively upgrade existing customers to higher platform tiers
  • Hit or exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Automate unnecessary or inefficient steps in the sales process
  • Implement creative ways to improve our customer relationships, tailor, and share performance-enhancing suggestions
  • Have an open mind to ideas from others, and collaborate regularly with your team

Requirements

Must Have

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in prospecting, sales, or customer success
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and equally excellent attention to detail
  • Tenacity and the willingness to pursue hard goals despite obstacles
  • Flexibility and creativity to circumvent obstacles as they emerge
  • Tech savvy and proficiency in standard communication, collaboration, and task management tools
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of sales strategy, relationship building, and pipeline processes
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to Have

  • Experience using the Hubspot Sales and/or Marketing suites
  • Experience selling software to brand, retail, and/or restaurant customer bases
  • Experience working as a frontline employee in retail, restaurant, or service industry roles
  • Experience working in early-stage, high-growth company environments
