Director of Career Services

 Stanbridge University is seeking a candidate with excellent leadership skills who can lead the Career Services Department to success. Reporting to the Campus President, the Career Services Director is responsible for the daily operation, organization, administration, general effectiveness, and supervision of the Career Services Department. The right candidate must have the ability to proactively identify problems and seek solutions through creative and critical thinking and the must have ability to obtain, analyze, and apply data.

 

Employment Status:

 

Full Time, Salaried, Exempt

Salary Range: Starting at $75K on up DOE

Essential Functions

 

  • Establishes weekly placement goals, monitors department’s activity, and communicates results and variances to the department and upper management.
  • Assist department in developing job leads for students via cold calling, email and in person job development.
  • Responsible for career services planning/development/placement strategies and overall activities and goals.
  • Trains and utilized techniques to professional develop team members.
  • Advise and assist students on job search, resume writing, and interviewing skills.
  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with State and Federal regulations as well as College policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Must possess a Master’s degree in Education, Administration, Business Management, Student Affair or in related field.
  • Three to five years of experience with career/student services management, career development administration and evaluation, and employer /student relations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office software.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Excellent professional demeanor.

  • The incumbent regularly sits for long periods, walks short distances on a regular basis.
  • Uses hands and fingers to operate an electronic keyboard or other office machines; reaches with hands and arms; speaks clearly and distinctly to answer telephones and to provide information; sees to read fine print and operate computer; hears and understands voices over telephone and in person; and lifts, carries, and/or moves objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
