Responsibilities:
Maintain existing business relationships with current clients identifying strategy to grow accounts.
Independently build and secure new logistics business and identify sales opportunities with a focus on flatbed / heavy haul freight.
Pre-sale duties include preparing action plans, customizing presentations, and performing pre-call research and analysis to develop senior level relationships with target accounts in order to understand prospect business needs and where the company fits in their overall logistics strategy.
Through relationship building, work to identify additional customer needs to acquire more volume through a strategic value proposition.
Achieve personal sales targets and market goals and maintain a profitable territory.
Negotiate rates with customers.
Collaborate internally with the team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans.
Ensure customer satisfaction alongside the operations team and assist to deliver the highest level of customer service.
Requirements
Experience:
2-4+ years of prior B2B, logistics sales experience
Prior experience handling domestic truckload brokerage services
Prior experience handling flatbed and / or over-dimensional freight is a plus
Proven track record of successful selling into and maintaining large complex accounts
Skilled in utilizing multifaceted sales techniques including phone, email and detailed proposals to effectively close sales
Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills and business acumen
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of a customer's organization including at the C-Level
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Strong sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
Aggressive, competitive, resilient attitude with a strong work ethic
Organizational skills and comfort multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
