About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated departments. This position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the organization’s business objectives. The Human Resources Business Partner maintains effective business literacy about the organization’s financial position, culture, and competition.

 

  • Execution of critical HR processes, performance management, talent acquisition, talent development, and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with Business/Operation groups to provide high-impact HR solutions and provide a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees.
  • Manage leadership development programs.
  • Support the internal promotion process.
  • On-going development of employee engagement (people survey).
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions in support of HR programs and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct and support effective, thorough, and objective employee relations, ethics, or compliance investigations (initial interviews & fact gathering); maintain tracking for issues/concerns and handle inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Counsel managers and employees on situational issues; participate in internal investigations, corrective actions, and coaching to resolve employee conflicts.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition teammates on the hiring process for the business and advise hiring managers on onboarding top talent.
  • Develop an understanding of the internal talent landscape to provide guidance and input on organizational restructures, workforce, and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for the business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Consistent application of HR policies & procedures to mitigate risk and ensure equitable solutions.
  • Manage the local HR team.
  • Other HR projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or other related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible human resources management experience, including experience as a manager and leading independent projects.
  • Experience advising on multiple levels of management on a range of people managers (i.e. employee engagement, retention, employee and labour relations, performance management, leave of absence, recruitment, etc.).
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of HR strategic partnerships in driving business results as an influencer and advisor.
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, and HRIS systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Competent computer skills including MS Office and knowledge of office equipment are required.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational, planning, work management, and prioritizing skills required.
  • Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, and reliability required.

Benefits

Compensation: The hiring compensation range for this position is $100,000- $120,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities.
