Full Job Description
North Point Defense (NPD) is seeking an experienced Property Administrator to join its team in Rome, NY.
Education and Experience
3 + years of Property Administration experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Current security clearance a strong plus.
Requirements
Maintains records and control of property owned by company, vendors, contractors, and government agencies.
Conducts inventories; arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required.
Administers property control program activities to ensure continual accountability of company, government, or associate contractor, property and assets in accordance with applicable corporate policy or government regulations.
Maintains property accountability records and determines condition and arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment.
Contacts potential users and negotiates transfers.
Conducts property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies.
Leads property system audits with government agencies.
Provides guidance on company policy and government regulations pertaining to property accountability.
Prepares periodic and special purpose reports relative to such matters as taxes, rentals and leasing, insurance, facility usage, etc.
Maintains auditable records of government-owned property located at the facility and associated vendor/subcontractor facilities.
Works with Contract Administrators and Program Managers to ensure that excess government property is identified as quickly as possible after contract completion.
Coordinates the training of employees on the Government Property Control System procedures and related FAR requirements.
Prepares draft procedure changes to implement FAR/DFARS requirements or locally directed management changes.
Performs self-assessment audits of compliance to published procedures and FAR/DFARS requirements.
Conducts periodic inventory or property location checks.
Other administrative tasking as assigned.
