Full Job Description
The Area Manager is the operations leader for a designated TEiC area. The Area Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining area customers, preparing estimates and proposals, and providing cradle-to-grave project leadership within the designated area. The Area Manager will report to the Regional Director.
- Prepares estimates utilizing an estimating template; reviews and approves all area estimates; and facilitates the transition of estimates to proposals.
- Leads internal RFQ evaluation process and recommends bid or no bid based on area, region, and company (BPI/TEiC) short- and long-term strategies.
- Submits proposals through internal TEiC commercial processes.
- Build relationships with new and existing customers based on area, region, and company sales strategy; partner with BPI sales staff and representatives on BPI/TEiC sales strategy.
- Monitors TEiC project activities; ensure that project activities comply with company procedures and policies.
- Provides project status to senior leadership; communicates challenges and recommends corrective actions on time.
- Leads risk analysis for project issues; recommends solutions that benefit short-term and long-term strategies of TEiC.
- Leads internal and external review of area projects from sales identification through project close out.
- Reviews the effectiveness of TEiC project leadership, coaches, and mentors direct reports to facilitate positive change and recommends corrective action, including personnel change, if necessary.
- Completes all commercial, operational, and company reporting requirements by assigned date.
Requirements
- Preferred B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Five plus years in field engineering, project management, or related experience.
- Sound understanding of project controls and project risk management tools.
- Technical knowledge of power plants and power equipment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; capable of adjusting priorities.

The base pay range for this Sr. Area Manager role is $147,960.00-$163,535.00 annually.
