We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team.
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the accounting department with various administrative and clerical tasks. This role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principals.
- Record and process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Reconcile bank statements and ledgers
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports
- Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with payroll processing
- Handle vendor and customer inquiries related to accounts
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial and employee information
- Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or associate degree in accounting
- Proven experience as an Accounting clerk or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Miter or SAP)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
