Full Job Description
Our partner; a leading company in the education sector is seeking a Regional Director of Sales for the Southeast region, based in Charlottesville, VA. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating relationships with prospective clients in the early childhood education sector to close sales contracts. The Regional Director will collaborate with various internal teams to ensure successful customer implementations.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue to meet monthly and annual sales quotas.
- Develop and build relationships with administrators in the education sector.
- Become an expert on the company’s products, services, competitors, and market positioning.
- Prepare and execute territory plans, project sales plans, and create account plans to meet short- and long-term objectives.
- Understand client needs, challenges, and objectives, working closely with stakeholders.
- Develop relationships across multiple individuals within programs and their parent organizations to advance complex deals.
- Attend education conferences, events, and meetings, representing the company and supporting sales efforts.
- Support colleagues in their efforts to ensure team success.
- Engage in continuous professional development and utilize available training resources to improve skills and gain expertise on the company’s products and services.
Requirements
- Education degree or equivalent and five or more years of experience in consultative sales within professional services and education sales.
- Proven experience in meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Commitment to honoring and embracing the company's DEI mission.
- Ability to manage complex relationships and build strong rapport and trust with large-scale clients.
- Knowledge of early childhood educational structures.
- Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time and work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- New business/hunter mindset.
- Located near a major airport within the US.
- Must have a driver's license and be able to travel.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in giving software product demonstrations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of best practices in child and teacher development.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local funding sources and grant programs for staff development.
- Familiarity with the Classroom Assessment Scoring System and other related products.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software.
