Founded in 2003, Making A Difference Foundation (MADF) is a nonprofit organization with the mission to make a difference in the lives of others, one person at a time, by helping them acquire the most basic human needs: food, housing, encouragement, and opportunity.
In keeping with that mission, our agency provides a workforce training and re-entry program for people coming out of the correctional system. This program provides mentoring, coaching, re-entry services, and workforce training at out Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank’s warehouse, which gives them job experience without the typical stigma and issues that come from having a criminal record and trying to obtain employment. Besides working with formerly incarcerated adults, this program also works with at-risk youth during the summer.
